Harris House Poised to Bring Quality of Care to More Clients, Naming Experienced Nonprofit Leader John McLellan as CEO
McLellan comes to St. Louis to lead the nonprofit organization dedicated to helping alcoholic and chemically dependent persons achieve sobriety.
ST. CHARLES, MO (Oct. 25) – Harris House, a top-rated nonprofit treatment center for individuals struggling with addiction to alcohol and drugs, named John McLellan as its new CEO, effective November 1. McLellan joins Harris House after serving as Executive Director of The Prospect House, Southwest Ohio’s leading long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment center for men.
“Harris House plays a critical role in the St. Louis region, bringing underserved people the opportunity to experience the miracle of recovery,” said McLellan. “I look forward to working with this dedicated team to share our continuum of care with more clients throughout the region.”
As Executive Director of The Prospect House, McLellan was responsible for the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan. Previously, he served as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. He holds a Master of Science degree in accounting from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science degree from Spring Hill College.
“We are thrilled to welcome John to the St. Louis region as CEO of Harris House,” said Becky Marsh, Board Chair. “He brings relevant and impressive experience to this role.
